We want every parent, student and visitor to use this site, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, zoom or a slow phone connection.

1. Our standard

The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which is also the standard in the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

2. What we have done

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone. A "Skip to content" link is the first item on each page and the focus ring is always visible.
  • Body text is dark navy on cream at a contrast of at least 4.5:1. Orange is used for shapes and buttons, never for reading text.
  • Text resizes to 200 percent without loss and the layout reflows at 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
  • Every image has a text alternative. Decorative petals are hidden from screen readers.
  • Forms have a visible label on every field, errors are listed in words and linked to the field, and no time limit applies.
  • Tables have header cells, headings run in order, and links say where they go.
  • Nothing moves on its own: no carousel autoplay, no marquee, no pop-ups. Animation is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels on phones.
  • Pages are light, about 400 KB on first view, so they load on a slow 4G connection.

3. Known gaps

  • PDF documents on the Mandatory Public Disclosure page are scanned copies of signed certificates and are not readable by screen readers. Ask the office and we will read out or type the content you need.
  • Some photographs are low-resolution WhatsApp copies and may look soft when zoomed.
  • The site is in English only. Office staff can help in Marathi and Hindi by phone or in person.

4. How we tested

Pages were checked with keyboard navigation, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, browser zoom to 200 percent, a 390-pixel phone view and automated contrast and heading checks. [A third-party audit is planned before the CBSE inspection.]

Visitors to the campus who need step-free access or other help should tell the office a day ahead so we can arrange it.
