Four stages, one campus, the same teachers.
NEP 2020 arranges school in four stages. Playgroup to Class 8 runs now; Classes 9 and 10 open from 2027-28. Each stage below says what a child does, how they are taught and how progress is reported.
Playgroup to Class 2: learning through the hands.
Ages 2.5 to 8. Play, stories, rhymes and the first confident English sentences, in small groups with the same teacher all year.
Daily rhythm
School runs [8.00 am to 12.30 pm] for pre-primary and [8.00 am to 2.00 pm] for Classes 1 and 2. Every day has circle time, an outdoor hour, a story and a snack together.
Play-based method
Children learn letters, numbers and shapes with sand, blocks, clay and songs before pencils. Marathi rhymes sit beside English ones. Nobody is asked to copy from a board.
Readiness outcomes
By the end of Sr KG a child can read short English sentences, count and group to 50, hold a conversation with an adult and manage their own bag and bottle.
Homework
None in pre-primary. Classes 1 and 2 bring home one short task a day, never more than twenty minutes.
Classes 3 to 5: reading for meaning.
The years when reading turns into understanding, and maths stops being memory and starts being reasons.
Subjects
English, Marathi, Hindi, mathematics and environmental studies, with computer periods, art, music and physical education every week.
Method
Class teachers stay with a group for the year. Reading aloud every day, maths with objects before symbols, and one project a term that ends in a presentation to parents.
Assessment
Two unit tests, a mid-term and an annual examination, plus teacher observation for the report card. Report cards are discussed at Open House.
Activities
Elocution, drawing competitions, the science exhibition and the annual sports week are open to every class in this stage.
Classes 6 to 8: subject teachers and laboratory hours.
The stage that builds the study habits the board years will need, with teachers who specialise in their subject.
Subjects
English, Marathi, Hindi, mathematics, science, social science and computer studies. Art, music and physical education continue every week.
Laboratories
Science practicals in the laboratory from Class 6. Computer periods in the lab with one child per machine [to confirm].
Assessment
Two unit tests, a mid-term and an annual examination. Class 8 students sit a full-length paper in every subject to prepare for the board pattern.
Olympiads and exhibitions
Students take part in [olympiad names], the annual science exhibition and the industrial visit each year.
Classes 9 and 10: same campus, same teachers.
Secondary classes open from 2027-28. Here is what the school can promise today, and what it cannot yet.
Subjects
English, Hindi or Marathi, mathematics, science and social science in the NCERT syllabus, with a skill subject [to confirm].
Board pathway
CBSE affiliation applied for · SARAS application filed. Students are registered for the CBSE board examination once affiliation is granted. The school's written undertaking for families joining Class 9 before grant is [to be confirmed by the management].
Our first board batch
The first Class 10 batch is expected to appear in [2028-29]. Until then the results page shows internal benchmarks only.
This page never says "affiliation expected by" a date. The wording changes only when the Board's inspection or grant happens.
